Rohan Ranch Breeding Contract
This contract makes binding the agreement between Rohan Ranch (mini-barn at River Forest) and __________, hereafter referred to as Mare Owner, to breed _________, hereafter referred to as Mare, to ________, hereafter referred to as Stallion.
Section A - Terms of Agreement
Rohan Ranch is not to be held responsible for any damage sustained to Mare before, during, and after the breeding process.
Rohan Ranch reserves the right to decline breeding to any Mare for any reason, not including prejudice to the Mare Owner. In the event of such a refusal, the Mare Owner has the right to request the reason, should it not be stated outright in the refusal.
Stallions are bred with a live foal guarantee. If a live foal is not produced within the first breeding, stallion and mare may be re-bred until live foal is produced.
Should the Stallion die, be sold, or through any other means be deemed incapable of breeding before live foal is produced, compensation shall be met through refund of the stud fee or free breeding to any other Rohan Ranch Stallion.
The resulting Foal must be registered within the Riata Equine Database within one week of birth. The Mare Owner must appropriately care for the Foal, including up to date veterinarian and farrier visits. When the Foal reaches the appropriate age, the Foal must be actively shown. As proof of this, the Mare Owner is required to create a web page for the Foal, including at the very least the Foal's registered name, birth year, lineage (sire and dam, at minimum), and up-to-date show records. A link to this website should be sent to Rohan Ranch upon creation, which must occur within one month of the Foal's birth. Alternatively, if the Mare Owner does not wish to create a web page, updates on the foal must be sent to Rohan Ranch every six months.
The Mare Owner reserves the right to speed age any Foal resulting from the breeding, so long as the Foal's age remains at least five years younger than the Stallion's. Special permission must be received if the Foal's desired age is less that five years younger than the Stallion's.
The Mare Owner must notify Rohan Ranch if the Foal is speed aged, gelded, sold, or passes away while in the Mare Owner's care.
Rohan Ranch reserves reclaim rights on the Foal in the event that the Mare Owner and all subsequent owners of the Foal are declared inactive or expelled. This claim requires no compensation to any party currently or previously affiliated with the Foal.

An email will be sent to the Mare's Owner prior to Rohan Ranch's signature of agreement to confirm the broodlease's credibility.
As previously stated in Section A Paragraph 2, Rohan Ranch reserves the right to decline breeding to any Mare for any reason, not including prejudice toward the Mare Owner.
Section C - Foal's Information
Mare's Owner must fill in the following information about the resulting Foal. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required to be filled out by Mare's Owner prior to Rohan Ranch's signature of agreement. If any non-essential fields are left blank after the Mare Owner's signature of agreement, Mare Owner forfeits rights to choose these aspects of the foal, and they will be randomized by Rohan Ranch and returned to Mare Owner with the completed and signed contract.

Rohan Ranch reserves the right to refuse any part of the Foal's Information as completed above on the grounds of genetic accuracy. In the event of such a refusal, the contract will be returned to the Mare Owner with a list of acceptable alterations from which the Mare Owner may choose. Rohan Ranch will not sign the contract until the Foal's Information is deemed acceptable for both parties in accordance with all previously-mentioned rules.
Should the Foal be listed in the Riata Equine Database or on any other website as having any characteristics other than those listed above, a warning will be sent to Mare Owner requesting immediate acknowledgement or alteration of the incorrect characteristic. Should the incorrect listing go unacknowledged for two weeks following the date of the warning, Rohan Ranch reserves the right to reclaim the foal with no compensation offered to Mare Owner.
Section D - Signatures of Agreement
Upon the signing of this contract, Rohan Ranch and the Mare Owner are legally bound to abide by all aforementioned terms of agreement. Should the Mare Owner fail to adhere to any agreement made within this contract, (s)he will be presented with a warning. If the warning remains unacknowledged for one week, Rohan Ranch reserves the right to reclaim the Foal with no compensation made to Mare Owner.
